Practice Background
The Apollo Bay General Practice is an accredited, computerised practice with 3 consulting rooms and a treatment room where services such as minor surgery, suturing, skins screenings and vaccinations are performed. Two doctors are supported by a practice manager, practice nurse and an administration team.

Otway Health & Community Services, located in Apollo Bay, has a 7 bed hospital and 20 bed aged care facilities. Otway Health is a Multi-purpose Service (MPS) providing a wide range of clinical and community services to our catchment area from Lavers Hill to Wye River. Offer health and community services to the 3,500 residents in the area, which increases to over 20,000 during the summer months.

The Cobden Medical Clinic a fully accredited modern facility which was opened in 2013 featuring

Among the many features of the medical clinic is our modern treatment facility that enables the medical practitioners to provide a number of minor procedures in privacy and comfort.

Our consulting rooms feature the latest medical equipment including a spirometer and ultrasound machine. At the clinic we operate a fully computerized medical record and accounting system.

Home Visits
will be provided if required by the patient, patients are to phone the clinic to arrange.

Pathology Provide
Pathology tests are taken within the clinic and collected three times a day by the pathology service provider.
Cobden District Health Service a 60 bed aged care facilities. The facility also has a range of Community and Allied Health Services including district nursing, diabetic educator, emergency stabilization, community nursing, dietician, counselling, podiatry and speech therapy.

Royal Children’s After Hours Medical Clinic (VIC)

Scope of services
Royal Children’s After Hours Clinic (the Clinic) provides a walk in service for people wanting to see a General Practitioner (GP) or other clinical staff. It offers assessment and treatment of primary care conditions for people without an appointment.


The Clinic, is located in the Royal Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, has the physical environment and character of a community-based general practice with waiting and reception areas.


The clinic treats category 4 and 5 emergency patients who are triaged by the emergency department to the After Hours Clinic. Patients are bulk-billed.

The Clinic provides services to primary care patients who present with acute symptoms that can be treated within the usual scope of general practice. Services include medical consultation, minor fractures, minor procedures, ECG, minor injury, trauma and referral to on-site radiology and pathology services.

• Visiting Surgeon - every second week (a referral is required)


Timboon and District Health Service , in Hospital drive Timboon, has a 7 bed hospital and 20 bed aged care facilities. The organisation offers child health care, community health, community nursing, accident/emergency, day care centre, diabetes, geriatric, aged care, health promotion, home care, home nursing, hostel, medical, nursing home, occupational therapy, outpatients, paediatric, palliative care, physiotherapy, and womens health services to the community. A full range of specialist and allied health services are available through Otway Health.

Hessy Rural Health located in Gossney Street Winchelsea has a 5 bed hospital and 68 bed aged care facilities. The non-funded rural urgent care service commences with nurse triage and is serviced by our general practitioners. Sub-acute services include post-surgical care, acute medical care, rehabilitation, nursing home type care, palliative care and convalescent care.The Aged Care complex offers care ranging from high level and dementia specific care through to low level care.
