David Wenban

David has formal clinical, management and legal qualifications which have seen him in various professional roles such as the CEO of a small rural health service, an Executive and Corporate Counsel of a large Metropolitan Health Service, and a legal and management consultant throughout Australia.

As a lawyer, David commenced practice 10 years ago predominantly in Health and Community Services where he specialises in employment and industrial relations law. He is well known for his understanding of the industry’s intricacies and his ability to deliver concise and pragmatic advice about most issues.

David is the director of nine different commercial companies in industries including IT, financial services and the motor vehicle industry and is the Managing Director of two commercial companies, including one that owns a number of medical clinics.

David’s private interests revolve around golf, red wine, travelling, the Essendon Football Club and his three teenage children’s sporting activities (including his recent questionable decision to come out of retirement and play cricket with his son…)

Martin Stirling

As a practicing lawyer and corporate professional Martin seeks opportunities where he can utilise his legal and business experience to further the interests of our clients.

Martin has extensive experience in health and aged care as well as employment law. He has developed a highly regarded reputation for the provision of dynamic legal and business strategies to senior executives with respect to the continued and efficient operation of the business whilst meeting all regulatory and legal obligations.

His professional passion comes to the fore when presented with complex, challenging and multi-layered problems where he is required to quickly and accurately formulate practical and cost effective legal and business strategies.

Martin balances his professional workplace commitments with volunteer work each month at the Moonee Valley Legal Service after hours drop in service.

Jim Babalis

Jim is a multi-skilled senior lawyer having previously worked in government, private practice as well as a multi-national insurance company. He has acquired extensive experience in workplace relations, insurance, administrative law and complex claims management.

Jim is a strategic thinker and delivers exceptional commercial resolutions for his clients. His clients compliment his passion and strong adherence to ethical responsibilities.

Whilst not at work Jim enjoys the company of his family and friends, enjoys travelling, watching foreign films and reading historical books.

Ruth Berghan

Ruth’s extensive work experience covers the health, legal and corporate sectors. With a background in executive administration, a passion for customer service and qualifications in business and training she provides training solutions for our many clients.

Key skills include relationship and event management, project management, systems thinking, marketing and media promotions, training and education.

Originally from New Zealand, Ruth began her career as an executive assistant with a large tier law firm in New Zealand. She then migrated to Australia and embarked on a successful career in the corporate world working with major corporations and brands such as Conzinc Riotinto Australia, Burswood Management, Coopers & Lybrand and then moving into the health sector.

Michael Rodgers

Michael’s diverse management career has included roles as Chief Executive Officer of a number of Victorian Health Services and Manager Support Services for Rural Workforce Agency, Victoria.

He has qualifications in accounting and management and manages our medical clinics, recruitment unit and medical consulting support team.

Michael’s knowledge of accounting and management, combined with more than more than twenty years’ experience in the health sector, allows him to readily provide our clients with practical solutions.
